ABOUT

Anna Connelly is a composer and writer from West Michigan with a passion for telling the stories of Scripture through the performing arts. Anna has written and produced three biblically-based plays: Anonymous Deliverance based on the book of Esther, Crooked Line based on the reign of King Solomon, and Broken Vessels based on the women in the genealogy of Christ. Her oratorio, Kingdom, focuses on three biblical passages to portray Christ as Prophet, Priest, and King. Arranged by David T. Clydesdale and recorded with the City of Prague Philharmonic. Kingdom is available on iTunes, Spotify, and other digital platforms, as well as audio CD. Anna’s most recent work, Stars and Sons, is a musical based on the story of Abraham.

In addition to dramatic productions, Anna also writes songs, poetry, piano music, and fiddle tunes. As a violinist, she has played for dozens of weddings, services, and events in the West Michigan area, often performing alongside her sister and fellow creative, Shannon VanZegeren.
